Digidesign's latest collaboration with UK premium audio brand Focusrite on the creation of the all new Mbox™ sets a new precedent for sound quality and audio power in a compact package. Mbox is a 2-channel USB audio peripheral characterized by Digidesign and Focusrite performance, specifically engineered to offer precision sound in a very small, very portable package.

We were given the task of taking the concept design of the Mbox together with the PCB and component layouts and undertake the mechnical design of the product suitable for manufacture. All components were fully modelled to check interfaces, interference areas and fit and function. Following this SLA models were created to sign off the shape and mechanical design, the SLA's were also sprayed up in the final Mbox colours for marketing purposes. Fully drafted CAD data was supplied direct to the toolmaker for manufacture.
